Stephen Gurchinoff Named Application Development Engineer

Conventus Polymers LLC, a leading distributor of high-performance engineering thermoplastics, has announced the appointment of Stephen Gurchinoff as Application Development Engineer, based in Milwaukee, Wisc. He will oversee ongoing commercial projects with OEMs and molders in the Midwest, as well as support a number of special projects.
“Conventus welcomes Steve to the team and we hope to leverage his broad-based technical and commercial knowledge and experience as we move through this exciting period of growth,” said John Jorgensen, president of Conventus Polymers. “Steve has 10-plus years in specialty polymer application development across automotive, electrification, oil and gas, industrial, and wire and cable markets which are all key sectors for our company. His technical and sales development expertise will be invaluable as we continue to bring the latest polymeric technologies to a continually growing customer base.”
Gurchinoff was formerly a sales development manager for the automotive, industrial, and environmental markets at Solvay Specialty Polymers. Prior to joining Solvay, he held several plastic manufacturing positions and was a subject matter expert in plastics at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee.
Gurchinoff completed his undergraduate studies in plastics engineering at Ferris State University and holds graduate degrees in Engineering Management and New Product Development from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Gurchinoff delivered a presentation on the innovative uses of high-performance polymers in small engine applications at the 2013 Taiwan SETC conference.
