Parsippany, NJ - Conventus Polymers LLC, a global distributor, formulator,
and compounder of specialty thermoplastics, announced it has been granted
certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the New York & New
Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council (NYNJMSDC), a regional affiliate
of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC).
Conventus is known for offering material expertise in strategic vertical markets,
alternative supply options in high-performance polymer families where selection
is limited, and helping customers reduce their raw material spend.
Some government agencies and corporations have policies in place to spend
approximately 20 percent of their budget with small, minority-owned businesses.
This MBE certification allows existing Conventus customers to officially recognize
their spend as going to a minority-owned business. It should also offer some
incentive for potential customers to evaluate Conventus as a supplier moving
forward.
Conventus co-founder and President Alexander Fung commented on achieving
MBE certification: “We are excited about this new certification for Conventus and,
more importantly, our customers. As a minority-owned and operated business,
customers have asked us about it for years. While achieving certification was a
lengthy process, we are happy to be able to offer this additional value to our
customers. We also look forward to working with the MBE community and its
corporate sponsors.”
